The Barn Dance Historical Society & Entertainment Museum takes pleasure in sponsoring the

25th Anniversary Jamboree/Campout Weekend
Blyth & District Community Centre and Campgrounds, Blyth, Ontario
May 26th, 27th, and 28th, 2023.

After a struggle during the past three years with COVID 19 and unable to hold our annual event, we have decided to hold one more and Final Jamboree/Campout this year. We invite you to join us for our 25th Anniversary Jamboree/Campout Weekend in Blyth. For 2023, The Barn Dance Historical Society intends to continue with its shows and will be posted on our web site. Please monitor our web site www.thebarndance.ca for future shows.

The Township of North Huron has decided to permanently close its museum in the Municipality. We are currently in the process of decommissioning all artifacts.

This all-inclusive packaged weekend includes admission to all events and a serviced campsite (hydro & water). A dumping station is located nearby. We have had to change our format somewhat this year. We will be holding a Dance on Friday evening with the Country Versatiles. Time from 7pm to 11pm. We will be featuring our Main Show on Saturday Evening with MC Jim Swan and the Barn Dance Band with special guests: Larry Mercey, Paul Weber, Naomi Bristow, Al Widmeyer, Lance Russwurm, Linda Elder, & Jim Otterbein, commencing at 7:30PM and the Gospel Show at 10:30am on Sunday. All events are NON ALCOHOLIC. We also invite you to visit our web site at www.thebarndance.ca for additional registration forms and information. All campsites are on a first come basis and no lot reservations.

You will be issued one arm band per person. It must be worn for all events including the Sunday Gospel Show.

All Barn Dance events will take place in the arena complex. We invite you to participate in the "Open Stage" commencing Saturday Afternoon at 12:30pm to approximately 3pm on the main floor in the arena. The main floor of the arena is used exclusively for rehearsing the Barn Dance Show from 3PM to 7PM on Saturday.

You can save money by Registering Prior to Monday, May 1st, 2023.. Please fill out the enclosed registration form and mail it to us with your payment. We will acknowledge your payment by email where possible or otherwise by mail. For your convenience, volunteers will be on site to provide you with your weekend package. (Armbands, Camping Validation Tags etc). The registration desk will open at 2PM to 7PM on Thursday, May 25th, Friday, May 26th from 9:30AM to 7PM and on Saturday May 27th 9:30AM to 12:30PM. The campgrounds are reserved exclusively from Thursday through Sunday for the Barn Dance Event. FOR ANYONE NOT REGISTERING BY MONDAY MAY 1st, 2023, YOU MAY REGISTER ON SITE FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE OF TWENTY ($20.00) DOLLARS.
