Canada’s Largest Travelling Barn Dance

February, 2017

Dear Camping/Traditional Country Music Enthusiast:

The Barn Dance Historical Society & Entertainment Museum again takes pleasure in sponsoring the

20th Annual Campout Jamboree Weekend at the Blyth & District Community Centre and Campgrounds, Blyth, Ontario on May 25th, 26th, 27th, and 28th, 2017.

We invite you to join us for our 20th Annual Campout/Jamboree Weekend. This all-inclusive packaged weekend includes admission to all events and a serviced campsite (hydro and water). We will again feature our Bluegrass show on Friday at 7pm, the Barn Dance Stage Show/Dance on Saturday evening at 7:30 pm, and the Gospel Show at 10am on Sunday. Due to the overwhelming success in past years, the Campers Jam will be held again on Thursday evening and Friday afternoon. We also invite you to visit our web site at www.thebarndance.ca for additional registration forms and information. All campsites are on a first come basis and no lot reservations.

You will be issued one arm band per person. It must be worn for all events including the Sunday Gospel Show. The Barn Dance Historical Society will be taking a portion of its proceeds for continued support of various community groups in Blyth.

The proceeds from this event support the Barn Dance Historical Society and Entertainment Museum in Wingham, and we thank you for your interest and continued support.

All Barn Dance events will take place in the arena complex. Again this year, patrons are invited to do some jamming in the complex (upstairs) on Thursday evening and Friday afternoon. The main floor of the arena is used exclusively for rehearsing the Barn Dance Show from 4PM to 7PM on Saturday.

This year, we are offering an EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION, please fill out the enclosed registration form and mail it to us with your payment. Payment must be POSTMARKED BY FRIDAY MAY 5TH, 2017. We will acknowledge your payment by email where possible or otherwise by mail. For your convenience, volunteers will be on site starting Wednesday, May 24th, from 12Noon to provide you with your weekend package and Camping Validation Tags. The registration desk will open at 10AM to 9PM on Thursday, May 25th, 9:30AM to 9PM on Friday, May 26th and 9:30AM to 2PM on Saturday May 27th. The campgrounds are reserved exclusively from Thursday through Sunday for the Barn Dance Event. FOR ANYONE NOT REGISTERING BY SATURDAY MAY 6TH, YOU MAY REGISTER ON SITE AT THE REGULAR RATES.
